The numerous rumors on three Apple iPhone variants being launched in September of this year are beginning to heat up, and with less than a month to go we’re hearing so much. It’s looking more and more like the smartphone launch even of the year including what seems to be the upcoming Apple iPhone 6c. The cheaper iPhone concept first debuted a couple of years back with a 4” screen and plastic surround.
Rumors on the iPhone 6c specs suggest many similarities beneath the outer body with last year’s iPhone 6 including an A8 processor, Touch ID Sensor, 1840 mAh battery, 16GB RAM. The most consistent rumors suggest the 6c will once again be smaller than the standard model, but will be slightly bigger than the iPhone 5c. The screen is rumored to be featured at either the same 4 inches, or could be getting a slight size enhancement to 4.2 inches.
We’re also hearing the 8GB model will not become available which is pretty consistent with what consumer want to see. 8GB isn’t enough memory at all, especially considering the primary consumer base that is attracted to the cheaper, colorful iPhone models. There should be a bump up in memory with options of a 16GB and 32GB model with a price that will be much cheaper than the 5c’s bigger brothers.
The launch announcement is already believed to start September 8th at Apple’s annual event which has seen previous flagships debut. The same is expected at this year’s event which could become the official launch of not only the Apple iPhone 6c, but also the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
There has also been some speculation the cheaper 6c won’t be announced this year at all, but instead, will launch during the 1st quarter of next year. We’ll have to wait for another few weeks, but as soon as the day comes we’ll have all the confirmations for you right here.
