It seems like Apple won’t be changing their numbering system after all, despite rumors suggesting a more conventional moniker with all new iPhones. In a matter of weeks, we’ll be seeing the announcement for the iPhone 6s, but it’s 2016 that has us the most excited with the new iPhone 7. We’re already hearing so much on what many are calling by far the best iPhone yet which should be made official during the 1st week in September.
The International Consumer Electronics Show is expected to be the launching pad for many hot and upcoming tech devices. The official Apple iPhone 7 announcement is expected as well as its #1 competitor, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 6. Despite being just over a year away, there’s already plenty of interest for the 2016 announcement which is expected to be one of the biggest Apple launch events yet.
The September 2016 launch event should bring forth both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus which are both expected to be quite impressive. It’s rumored that Apple will be looking to beefing up the onboard memory while doing away with the 16GB version we’ve seen in previous models.
As far as the specs, there isn’t much expected to be different when comparing the visuals, but one huge change rumored is a scratch resistant Sapphire screen. Other rumors include a flexible display, Touch ID sensor built into the screen itself, and four color options including pink, white, gold, and black. Preinstalled will be the latest version of IOS 9 which will also feature a battery saver mode which has been needed for some-time.
We’re hoping to see at least a 16 MP primary camera, 4GB RAM, expandable memory, and a retina eye scanner. Apple Pay has quickly become the #1 mobile payment option, and consumers are looking for higher quality security features built right-in. An eye sensor would allow users to conveniently, but more importantly securely check out using Apple’s mobile payment option.
