There are bound to be a number of new iPhone 7S features that will add on from the iPhone 7 but as it currently stands we only have speculation to go off of. Despite that, we thought it would be interesting to talk about the potential technology that could go into the upcoming iPhone 7S. Still with plenty of time before we see the official unveling, new rumors are creeping in on things to come.
We’re likely to see a new Sapphire display, waterproof technology, iOS11, and a new hardware upgrade which will have the biggest difference. All details on the latest iPhone 7s rumors are detailed below.
Apple has been hinting for some time that they may adopt a full sapphire display for their iPhone lineup. Apple obviously hasn’t hinted with actual words, but they have included sapphire glass on certain elements of previous iPhones and on the Apple Watch. We believe that one of the new iPhone 7S features could be a sapphire glass display.
Sapphire glass will be much stronger than standard gorilla glass so this means that iPhone owners should have less worry about their display shattering when dropped.
The build quality of an iPhone is already quite sturdy so it’s not that farfetched to believe that Apple could turn the new iPhone 7S into a waterproof device. Waterproof features on the iPhone 7S would mean that rain could not cause any damage, but it could also prevent it from taking damage when submerged into water.
We all have a friend that has had their iPhone dropped into the pool or in the toilet so this would be a great feature for Apple to include in the 7S and 7s Plus.
New Operating System
The iPhone 7S could launch alongside the iOS 11 update. Although all recent iPhones would get iOS 11, the iPhone 7S would be the first smartphone to have the update because it would come out the box with iOS 11 installed. So far we aren’t sure what features could be included on iOS 11 but we’d expect to see new security improvements and some potential design tweaks.
The new iPhone 7S will most likely come with the A11 CPU and improved quad core graphics – this will include faster performance in every aspect of the operating system. We’re hearing the new hardware in both the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will be significantly faster, be more efficient, and will be a huge upgrade over the current CPU. Consumers will see the biggest difference with multitasking such as running multiple apps simultaneously which usually has a tendency to make the handset run slower.
