Over the years, we’ve come to expect the unexpected from one of the industry’s leaders, and we’re fully expecting Apple to do it once again at their annual September event. September 2016 is expected to be a huge launch announcement for three distinct versions of the latest iPhones including a smaller, and cheaper version called the Apple iPhone 6c.
We’ve been speculating that Apple is looking to bring back the cheaper iPhone that first debuted a couple of years ago, but this year’s 6c is expected to be so much better. We’re hearing rumors that Apple is looking to appeal to a very wide user base, and the current launch price iPhone 6c rumors have been very consistent.
The September 9th iPhone 6 launch announcement is also expected to reveal the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus giving consumers three distinct price options to choose from. Early rumors on the iPhone 6c price has it coming in at $649 off-contract, and only $99 on-contract. Many of the top carriers here in the US will certainly feature the launch which could start as early as the end of September 2016.
AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile will likely open up preorders by the middle of the month, but only if the phone becomes a reality. There has been a lot of speculation with the most consistent rumors suggesting three new iPhones launching to this year. The pricing structure seems to offer about a $50 – $200 difference between each model which would make the price of the iPhone 6s about $850, $950 for the 6s Plus, and $650 for the 6c.
It’ll be interesting if Apple does in fact launch three phones this summer as consumers are already lining up for the inevitable launch announcement. The same five colors for the iPhone 6c are expected including yellow, blue, green, pink, and white, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple more including gold and silver.
