Who really knows when if and when we’ll see the much anticipated iPhone 6c other than Apple themselves, but new rumors suggest we’re about to see not one, but three new iPhones in a matter of weeks. New Apple rumors suggest the stage has been set for a September 9th 2016 announcement where three new iPhone models will be launched including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and a cheaper version called the Apple iPhone 6c.
The C moniker was first seen in the iPhone 5c which was a cheaper version of Apple’s latest iPhone. Sporting a 4” screen and plastic surround, but offered users all of the top features seen in modern day iPhones. The iPhone 6c announcement is expected to come at a huge launch announcement which will also feature what many are calling two of this year’s best.
We’re hearing some huge enhancements in the iPhone 6c concept including a metal surround making it much more durable, and a slightly larger screen. Rumors on a 4.2” display instead of the 4” screen seen in the 5c is expected to make it more popular with consumers. The concept of the cheaper iPhone is already gaining a lot of interest, but the initial interest on the 5c was equally impressive.
The less than stellar sales of the Apple iPhone 5c leaves many analysts to believe if the concept will be scrapped all-together, or if we’ll see the enhancements as expected. We’re expecting to see the same five color options including pink, green, yellow, white, and blue, but it’s a bit more underneath that consumers are hoping for.
We could see an A9 chipset, more responsive fingerprint scanner, Force Touch Technology, and improved camera features. We’re also hearing the 8GB model will be a thing of the past, and instead seeing a 16GB and 32GB iPhone 6c.
